Poem: For Buck Creek

Updated: Sep 4

My friend.

I remember the times when I would visit you.

When life felt hard.

When the pain felt real.

You always knew how to help me.

Your energy embraced me.

You washed away my worries with ease.

And now I sit here with you,

feeling your presence once again.

Honoring our time together,

knowing that it will end.

But there is now peace,

where there once was a deep longing.

And love,

where there was once pain.

So I offer you my gratitude,

for the memories shared,

and the wisdom gained.
